More About Shane!


A Pittsburgh native from the North Hills area, Shane is currently pursuing his Master of Counseling Psychology from Chatham University and received his BA in psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL in 2021. Shane has experience working with neurodivergent youth and in summer camps, working as a staff member and summer teacher. Shane also has experience working with kids in a residential treatment setting, where he worked with clients as a direct care support worker.

Shane has experience working with kids who present with various mental health disorders, including ASD, IDD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, Shane has experience and training working with clients experiencing trauma and in crisis management. Working in this high-need environment has taught Shane the value of developing therapeutic rapport and holding a compassionate space for clients to work through their issues in a healthy and supportive way. These experiences have led to Shane seeing others through a social constructivist lens, by which people understand each other based on their lived experiences and the environments in which they live.

In his free time, Shane is outgoing and enjoys attending various events and festivals around Pittsburgh city. Shane enjoys dancing, attending concerts, reading, playing piano, singing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with his close friends.
