More About Sage!

Sage is currently pursuing his Master's in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at PennWest California. He received his Bachelor's in Sociology with a concentration in Social Deviance and a minor in Psychology.

A longstanding interest in lending a helping hand has always been a part of Sage's purpose. His father is a high school teacher, teaching history, psychology, and sociology. His mother was an athletic trainer, a Registered Nurse, and a paraprofessional. Sage was a volunteer firefighter in his hometown before he moved out to Pittsburgh area for college at what once was Cal U, where he furthered his passion the humanities and social sciences.

Sage has a deep interest in narrative therapy with some added flavors of philosophy, though remaining pragmatic in transferring skills and coping mechanisms. Sage also plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision once he graduates from his Master's program. In his future, he hopes to be able to provide services to neurodivergent college communities both in counseling sessions and with research.

In Sage's free time, he can often be found playing the guitar he built, playing the piano, or clicking away on a mouse and keyboard to the tune of various video games. That is, when he doesn't have his eyes glued to a good research article or new book.
