Jodie was born and raised in Wisconsin and has lived in the Pittsburgh area for the last 10 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from La Roche University and is now pursuing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).

While pursuing her bachelor's degree, Jodie worked as a peer mentor where she helped new students as they transitioned into higher education by working one-on-one with them to develop personal and organizational skills. In her master’s program, she worked as a graduate assistant where she helped guide international students interested in pursuing a degree in counseling. Also, as part of her master’s program, Jodie has co-facilitated group counseling sessions and has gained experience counseling individuals in one-on-one sessions.

Jodie also gained experience in career consulting, where she has helped guide individuals in pursuit of professional careers by building professional profiles and assisting with job searches for her clients.

In her free time, Jodie enjoys dancing; walks in the park; brewing and drinking tea; and traveling with her husband when she has the time!
