More About Tammy!


Tammy Griffin is currently a Master of Social Work student at Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally born in Baltimore, Maryland, and growing up in Huntsville, Alabama, Tammy's academic journey spans borders, including a B.A. in Social Science at the University of Arizona and international study at Richmond, the American University in London, England. This diverse educational background reflects her deep commitment to cross-cultural understanding and empowerment. With a diverse international educational background and a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity, Tammy brings a unique perspective to her practice of therapy, encompassing clinical concepts and general well-being approaches.

In the past, Tammy has volunteered to support immigrant mothers and lived and taught in China, demonstrating her dedication to nurturing the next generation and fostering intercultural understanding. Now, transitioning from teaching, Tammy focuses her passion on helping and empowering individuals to live a life of victory and empowerment while using her international insights and evidence-based findings to make this meaningful impact.

Tammy's approach to therapy is multifaceted, grounded in both clinical interventions and broader strategies for promoting general well-being. She utilizes a person-centered methodology, combining CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) techniques such as writing therapy, mindfulness, and talk therapy.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Tammy finds enjoyment in picnicking with her family, admiring trees, exploring new destinations, and enjoying music.
