Lauren received her Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently being supervised for her LPC with Aprilynn Artz, LPC/Owner of Connection Counseling & Consultation Inc.

Lauren is a National Certified Counselor and will become an LPC in 1 year! She is currently able to accept Cigna, Aetna, and Highmark insurance. Once she is licensed she will be able to accept other insurance panels after the credentialing process.

Lauren has three years of experience working with neurodiverse children and teenagers at Quest Therapeutic Camp (2019-2021). Lauren got started at Quest as a volunteer to get new experiences. From her work as a volunteer, she was asked to come back the following 2 years as first a Counselor, and then as a Therapist (which was the highest position at Quest outside of being a Director).

In December of 2020, April asked Lauren to come aboard to the private practice to continue on with her passion for counseling. Lauren wears many hats at the practice! She can be found doing individual therapy, inclusion consultation, community inclusion coaching, and consulting/training others in Positive Behavior Supports.

Lauren has worked as an embedded consultant via our practice as part of our collaboration with the Jewish Community Center (JCC). Lauren provides direct/onsite support to ECDC, Clubhouse, and J&R Summer Camp. As a consultant, Lauren spends time observing children in early education settings, providing service recommendations to families and programs, providing embedded support, and meeting with parents and teachers.

Lauren enjoys empowering her client’s in their strengths and helping them achieve their goals. She is passionate about making therapy meaningful and incorporating the interests of her clients. Lauren has experience working with children, teens, and adults with various diagnosis including ASD, ADHD, OCD, and anxiety.
